What a beautiful sight greeted us along our beautiful long driveway after taking the children to school.

    Welcome to Paradox Valley Farm!

Tuesday June 30, 2009 Welcome to Paradox Valley Farm! The View from the Valley has been amazing: rain showers and rainbows. In just a few short weeks the garden has gone from being the pleasant dream of cold January evenings to a glorious reality. We've been harvesting the first fruits of the season: radishes, onions, beets, and young buckwheat leaves.

Life is good; the sun is shining, the grass is green on my side of the fence (literally, we just planted the lawn!), the garden is growing, and we’re finding joy along our chosen path.

Ezekiel and Ephraim have been busy in their respective plots. Ephraim loves what he grows and force feeds us radishes if we don’t partake of our own free will.

Marilla has been hand-feeding her hens, and all involved find it a satisfactory way to eat. Marilla giggles her way through the meal and the hens scratch, jump, peck, and do a move that looks suspiciously like an elbow to the ribs with their wings, just to be the first to eat out of her hand.

Truth be told, Enoch doesn’t spend that much time in the garden. I had to really search to find this one from when we first prepared the garden beds. He is usually playing with the puppies, looking for bugs, or defeating some villain on the computer.

Ezekiel doesn’t actually care for zucchini but he likes to grow it.
